Monster Island, the Asylum’s 2019 mockbuster was released at the same time that Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is about a mysterious island where a monstrous creature lives, and the island itself serves as a metaphor for the monstrous creature.


Asylum is a low-budget picture that makes do with what it has by concentrating on a small number of human beings and concentrating the film's A-listers (Monster Island (2019) bad movie) in a single location so that they may shoot all their sequences over lunch. However, this is a kaiju movie, and that is kind of how they do, so perhaps The Asylum won’t do such a terrible job with it.
